Help,please re "buffering" playing comp music

When listening to music I get interruptions whilethe data is "buffering".
What do I need to improve my computer's performance to keep the music
continuous?

What do I need to improve my computer's performance to keep the music
continuous?

Mainly, a high speed internet connection like DSL with phone lines
that are up to the speed, a modem that can handle it, a faster
processor and more memory.
