software to test PC speaker phase ?

I wonder if there is a simple program to test if you have the speaker
absolute phase set correctly (I'm using external speakers ). It's a
complex story but I have replaced some satelites in a sat + sub
combination and I cannot tell the +/- arrangement of the original
spears as the cables were captive and they use 3.5mm mono jacks as
speaker connectors.
