Discussion:
What synth is as good as the Yamaha S90 but with built-in speakers?

Thanks to everyone who's helped me in my search for a weighted-action
synth that is not too heavy, and provides an excellent acoustic piano
sound. The Yamaha S90 seems to suit my needs very well, except for the
fact that it has no built-in speakers.

What is the closest synth to an S90 that has it's own speakers? It
should have these features:

Excellent acoustic piano sound
Weighted-action keyboard
Not *too* heavy (S90 weight is fine)
Built-in speakers

Thanks in advance...

FWIW, the Yamaha P60 has built-in speakers, though they're kinda small
-- but then the keyboard itself is pretty small too (smaller than an S90
anyway).

I'm no piano player, so I can't really judge whether the piano sound and
keyboard action are acceptable for you, but it seems pretty nice to me
(after all it's a digital piano, and Yamaha's other models in the same
line, P80, etc, are very well thought of).

The P60 is pretty cheap too...

There are tons of options out there. Alesis built one that had some decent
sounds for a while an eq on deck and decent sounding built in speakers.
Kawai makes several, Korg EC series have legs and all to move as well.
Great rhodes sound on those along with a good piano. Some of Rolands have
speakers as well..some FP's I think and others. Clavinovas and other
yamahas as well have speakers. Technics...what was that thing I worked on a
while back. It had a good sound also whatever it was. Of course everyone
has a different idea of 'good'. I like the Kurzweil sound. In fact there's
a built in speaker version of the K1200...called the Mark something if you
want to get something more around 1990 era. Sounds from the classic K250.
Of course they aren't as piano feeling as you may want in the
ovement. -Bob

Which has the better acoustic piano sound:

Yamaha P120
Roland FP3
Roland FP5

I *think* that these may have built-in speakers.

Thanks in advance...
