I DLed some music in .MP3 format, at least I thought, but there were also a
lot of files in .OGG format.
What in heavens name is OGG? I have different players installed, but none of
them know what to do with it. Can this be converted to a normal format and
with what?

OGG is a patent-free compression method. Usually gives better
compression than mp3. Common on the Linux platform. Google for ogg
and vorbis, or look at http://www.vorbis.com/ which is related to the
XIPH.Org foundation (http://www.xiph.org/)
